A fast, transparent mirror for open-source software.

OpenMirror keeps byte-identical copies of fourteen upstream distributions and serves them over HTTPS and rsync. No accounts, no tracking, no rewritten payloads — every file is verified against its upstream checksum after each sync.

How this mirror is operated

Short version: synchronise, verify, serve, and say so publicly.

Sync, then verify

Each upstream is pulled on its own schedule with rsync or bandersnatch. InRelease and Release signatures are checked before the new tree is published.

Nothing rewritten

Files are served exactly as received. We do not inject headers, rewrite HTML, or substitute packages. Checksums are re-verified weekly against upstream.

Public status

Sync timestamps, transfer rates and incident history are published on the status page and updated automatically.

Note on capacity. This mirror runs on a single small instance and is rate-limited to 40 concurrent connections per address. If you operate a large deployment, please use rsync off-peak or point at a geographically closer mirror. Abuse reports go to the operations team.
